Career Summary, Exhibitions & Awards
A seasoned educator, accomplished fine artist, and department coordinator with extensive administrative duties. With twenty-nine years of experience at Touro University, I have held roles as full-time faculty, Acting Deputy Chair, and Coordinator of the Digital Multimedia Design Program.
In 2020, I was promoted to Assistant Professor. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I have worked on curriculum development, student advisement, and course planning. As Coordinator, I planned and staffed department courses in four different Touro locations. I collaborate closely with University Deans on various administrative tasks. I work closely with students, providing academic advisement and scholastic guidance.
As a dedicated artist, I am committed to continuous growth, refining my skills and expanding my knowledge through ongoing mentorship and study.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Touro University, New York, NY 1996 to Present
My expertise lies in teaching beginning levels. I teach courses in the Adobe Creative Suite (CC), along with studio art courses in Drawing and Painting. I teach students in an inclusive environment that embraces diverse cultural backgrounds.
ESL TEACHER | 1982-1995
I taught English as a Second Language (ESL) at Berlitz, Rennert Bilingual, and through private lessons, working with a diverse group of international students.
PHILADELPHIA PUBLIC SCHOOLS 1977-1979
Prior to moving to New York City in 1980, I was as an elementary art teacher in the Philadelphia Public School System.
OTHER
I am always seeking new challenges and opportunities to contribute my talents and abilities. In 2016, I volunteered for the Rio Summer Olympics, gaining valuable experience and expanding my horizons through this unique opportunity.
