Color is my passion. I get excited by the colors in many things and feel such a thrill when I see certain colors together. I live color, in how I dress, how I feel, and how I paint. I experiment with color in my paintings and emphasize values, hues, and complements. I explore the possibilities that I find in composition, form, and visual balance. I love to paint from a still life. I often do not plan what will be in a still life composition, but I am articulate as to how I will execute a particular arrangement of objects. I love the way I can transform simple things in my own way, using color as my outlet of expression. I hope the viewer can take away the feeling of joy, pleasure and peace, after viewing my work. I love to meet the aesthetic challenges an artist faces every time he or she is in the act of creation. It is a gift.
